Support Social Justice; Buy Fair Trade

Our Mission Committee has partnered with the UCC Equal Exchange program to sell Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate and nuts on the first Sunday of each month during Coffee Hour.

The fair trade label means that growers receive a fair price for their products and are able to better support their families than in the past.

Proceeds obtained from these sales will help support a scholarship fund to send a local teen on a future mission trip.

Welcome to Swiss Church!

Swiss Church is an open and welcoming congregation that celebrates the joy of spirituality and family unity.

Our church's history dates back to 1850 when Swiss settlers in the area formed themselves into a faith community.  The earliest church building provided a home where worship was the heart of life and living.

The church and Zwingli Haus are situated on the town square, inviting all to visit, tour, or just stop in for a moment of reflection.

The United Church of Christ is one of the newest denominations in the country, yet its churches go back to the origins of our country.  It is important to know that all congregations of the United Church of Christ are locally autonomous.  We call our own pastors and govern our own congregational life.  At Swiss Church, we are governed by a "Consistory" that is responsible to the congregation.  In other words...every local congregation is unique.
